Reinterpreting Otoki’s 50-year culinary heritage, this project breathes new life into a historic space, blending past traces with contemporary sensibility to create a dining venue where warmth and refinement coexist. Inspired by the founder’s pen name, ‘Punglim (豊林)’—evoking a lush, thriving forest—the space adopts warm wood and vibrant green accents as its core architectural language. Beyond a simple place for meals, it aspires to be an everyday sanctuary where people, conversation, and time naturally flow together.

The overall design centers around the concept of gentle flow. Sightlines and circulation paths glide fluidly across the entire interior rather than remaining static, seamlessly weaving dining areas and service movements into a single cohesive landscape. This unified design vocabulary imparts a refined visual rhythm throughout, while subtle, thoughtful details embedded across the space gently enrich the depth of every visitor’s experience.
