Naro

When you go to an Asian restaurant, be it Japanese, Chinese, or Thai, there are design cues and a distinct vibe that customers immediately recognize as being “Asian”.

Then what makes a restaurant Korean?
This is one of the perennial questions for Studio Writers.
What do people conjure up when they picture a Korean restaurant and Korean cuisine?
Together with restauranteurs Junghyun ‘JP’ and Ellia Park, we thought long and hard about these questions and tried to come up with a new approach to express this.

When we introduce this Korean culture and cuisine, we need to create something new, but it has to be based on our heritage. So, we started our concept from the point of our culture : the joy and the aesthetics of Korea.
